I have finally called it a day on my painting of Carter reaching for an Easter egg. The real shirt had yellow stripes also but I am pretty sure I am going to leave them out. I like the balance of the basic red/green color scheme and the blue bounces off of red pretty well. |

I've been on a real painting streak the past few weeks. This painting is a bit larger (around 3 feet wide) Unfortunately, the photo of this painting isn't as clear or crisp as I want. I also have one more of my son in on the easel about halfway complete. |

I have always painted using acrylic paints. I just liked the quick dry aspect of them since I am a fast painter. However, beginning this year, I bought a small oil set and I now wonder what took me so long to try them. |
